I just thought I would put my thoughts out there about the guest speaker that is ministering at our church. We have been through 2 services with him and his final service with us is tonight at 6pm. The impact he is having has been really ministering to me and gave me inspiration for my message for the youth for Tuesday night. He has been drilling in the phrase, “Lets not just be hearers of the word, but doers.” Now he brought up about in 1 Samuel, and how Samuel was hearing the voice of the Lord but he thought it was Eli. I started thinking, sometimes we know the voice of the Lord, but do we hear it? I mean do we really hear him?

We are good at lip service and we are good at saying I hear you Lord “BUT” we love that word. Everything is “Yeah But,” I love my complacency. I love the sin I’m living in. I am comfortable right where I’m at. But are we really? We say we want to be used by God but when we hear him speak, we question him and come up with every excuse in the book as to why we should or shouldn’t do something. Point is God speaks to us in a way each and every one of us can understand. He doesn’t code it or tell us in ways we have to figure it out. He wants us to grow and mature in him. He doesn’t want us to figure out the code to get his marvelous plan.

I want to challenge each and every young person out there or older person as the case may be. When your reading God’s word or you hear the voice of the Lord, don’t be like Samuel, know the voice of your Lord. So when God asks you to do something. You do it! Or if he says don’t do it. You had better listen. My wife and I believe that today’s youth need to be educated in God’s word and biblical foundations, along with a technological side. Maybe your in high school getting ready to graduate and you have no idea what you want to do. Maybe your even unsure of where you stand. Maybe God is the furthest thing from your mind.

Our mission here at Real2Reel Ministries is to take Real teens with Real problems in Real life and train them and show them by being Real how to Reel in unsaved teens. Face it, todays youth is searching. They are searching for a void they have within. But what they don’t realize is that, that void can only be filled by Jesus Christ. As Youth Pastors we know how important it is for the next generation to be prepped and taught God’s word. Not only taught it, but have them put it into practice. So many times we are all “hearers’ of the word, but we forget to be “doers.” So we want to invite you on a journey.

A journey into Real2Reel Ministries. We will be providing live podcast recordings of teachings and real youth giving their testimony and also their points of view. We will also be having a live video cast complete with chat room for you to participate in. The students from Xtreme Youth at Shiloh Ministries, in Grove City, PA will be joining us for the majority of the podcasts and chat room. But the cool thing is, we are opening this up to the world. Come get to know the youth we pastor and also bring your youth and yourself and lets join forces as we help take these youth to another level in Christ!
